Program and Services Update
We are extremely proud of the programs and services delivered by Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Programs. Based on feedback from our member families, we have continually been able to enhance what is available for families of children with cancer here in this region. On October 5th 2008, I had the distinct privilege of presenting the Smiling Siblings Watercolour Workshop program and CyberKids to members of ICCCPO (International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations) at SIOP 2008 in Berlin Germany. It was a tremendous experience!
Bereavement Services
Philip Domingue has continued facilitating the bereavement support group, which runs on Thursday evenings 7 – 9 pm at St. Paul University on Main Street. Please contact the office if you are interested in attending.
Each bereaved family is given a beautiful Memory Box from Candlelighters, embossed with their child’s name. It can be used to hold keepsakes and mementoes of special memories.
