Program and Services Update

Bursary Applications now being accepted. Please get your application form from the website www.candlelighters.net or by contacting the office at 613.715.9157. Please remember, if you have previously applied but have not been awarded a bursary, you can re–apply. Deadline is Tuesday March 31, 2009. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered – with no exception.

We are now accepting applications for our 2 bursary programs:

Ottawa Senators Alumni Bursary
Candlelighters is very pleased to offer a bursary in the amount of $1,000.00 to a childhood cancer survivor (Candlelighters’ member) in their academic pursuits of post-secondary education.

Kathleen Elizabeth Ward Bursary
Candlelighters is very pleased to offer a bursary in the amount of $1,000.00 to a sibling of a child with cancer (Candlelighters’ member) in their academic pursuits of post-secondary education.

Sens Smiling Siblings!
We would like to take this time to thank the Ottawa Senators Foundation for their kind and generous support of the sibling watercolour workshops. Upcoming painting dates are:

• Saturday March 14
• Saturday April 18
• Saturday May 9
• Saturday June 13

Each workshop runs for 2:30 – 4:30 pm and all ages (4 and up) are welcome. They take place at the Plant Recreation Centre at the corner of Preston and Somerset Streets. It is free for your child to participate, but you need to register in advance. Contact the office for information and to register.
